Pyongyang Folklore Park
Pyongyang, North Korea, North Korea
Pyongyang Folklore Park was a large historical‑themed amusement park located at the foot of Mount Taesong on the outskirts of Pyongyang, North Korea.
Opened in 2012, it covered about 30 hectares and was built in the shape of the Korean Peninsula, with miniatures and detailed replicas of famous Pyongyang landmarks, monuments, ancient tombs, temples, and traditional homes meant to showcase Korean history from prehistoric times to the modern era.
The park combined folk‑culture displays, scaled‑down DPRK landmarks such as the Juche Tower and Arch of Triumph, and educational scenes of traditional life, but it was shut down and fully demolished in 2016, and no longer operates as a visitor attraction.
