The Regional Parks Botanic Garden, located within Tilden Regional Park in the Berkeley Hills of Northern California, was established in 1940 and spans approximately 10 acres.

It is devoted exclusively to collecting, growing, displaying, and preserving native plants from across California's diverse ecological regions, including coastal bluffs, mountains, valleys, deserts, and alpine zones. The garden is organized into sections that represent these distinct natural areas, exhibiting a wide range of specimens such as conifers, oaks, manzanitas, native bunchgrasses, bulbs, and aquatic plants.

It holds one of the most comprehensive collections of California manzanitas and showcases nearly 300 taxa considered rare or endangered. The garden offers a naturalistic landscape that illustrates the state's botanical diversity, serving as both a conservation hub and an educational resource for visitors interested in California’s native flora.
