Ruine Hertenstein, also known as the "Altes Schloss," near Sigmaringen, Germany, is a medieval castle ruin situated on a forested hilltop overlooking the region, close to other local fortifications like Burg Isikofen.

First documented in the late 12th to early 13th century and associated with nobility such as Eberhard von Hertenstein by 1314, it served as a strategic spur castle typical of the Swabian Alb's defensive landscape. Today, the scant remnants attract hikers for their enchanting panoramic views through surrounding woods, though little structure survives beyond foundational traces amid the scenic Upper Danube area.
