Ruine Luginsfeld

Ruine Luginsfeld is the remains of a small medieval Höhenburg, often called a “Luginsland‑Turm”, perched about 1,500 meters east of the parish church of Tuttlingen in the Tuttlingen district of Baden‑Württemberg, Germany, at roughly 785 meters above sea level above the Donautal.

The compact tower castle, built sometime between the 11th and 13th century, likely served as an observation or watchtower to monitor the surrounding valley rather than as a major fortified residence, and was probably linked to the nearby Wasserburg Luginsfeld further down the slope.

Today only a low, square stone foundation with a small height of about 1.8 meters and the outline of a surrounding ditch remain visible, so the site is an inconspicuous, forested Burgstall that can be reached by short footpaths but offers only a modest archaeological glimpse of a small, once‑elevated lookout tower.
