Ruine Neidegg
Blaustein, Germany, Germany
Ruine Neidegg is the remains of a small medieval hill castle perched on a rocky outcrop at about 589 meters above sea level, high above the Blau River near the hamlet of Markbronn in the town of Blaustein, Baden‑Württemberg, Germany.
The site was originally a Höhenburg, likely built in the later Middle Ages to control and overlook the surrounding valley and nearby settlements, and was later abandoned, leaving only low stone walls and earthworks. Today it serves mainly as a quiet, local hiking destination, offering modest views over the Blau valley and the Alb‑Donau region rather than as a heavily restored or tourist‑oriented castle ruin.
