Sa’dabad Palace Complex

Tehran, Iran

---

The Sa’dabad Palace Complex in northern Tehran, Iran, is a vast historic estate that was used as a summer residence by the Qajar and later the Pahlavi royal families.

Nestled at the foothills of the Alborz Mountains, the complex features beautiful gardens, forests, streams, and numerous palaces spread across a large area. The estate includes more than a dozen palaces and museums, among them the famous Green Palace and White Palace, which were used by Reza Shah Pahlavi and Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi.

The buildings showcase a blend of Persian and European architectural styles and contain collections of royal furniture, artwork, historical documents, and cultural artifacts. After the 1979 Iranian Revolution, much of the complex was converted into a public museum. Today, Sa’dabad Palace Complex is one of Tehran’s most important cultural attractions, offering visitors a fascinating look into Iran’s royal history while providing a peaceful setting of gardens and historic architecture.
