Schloß Kleinkötz
Kötz, Germany, Germany
Schloß Kleinkötz is a historic Baroque castle located in the village of Kleinkötz, part of the municipality of Kötz in Bavaria, Germany. It was originally a medieval moated castle that was heavily damaged and later rebuilt between 1711 and 1714 by the noble Holzapfel family as an elegant three-story Baroque residence. The castle is distinguished by its hipped roof, surrounding fish ponds, and small landscaped park, which preserve the character of the former water castle. Over the centuries, the property passed through several private owners while maintaining its historic significance. Today, Schloß Kleinkötz is a protected historic monument and remains privately owned, so it is not generally open to the public. Its picturesque setting and well-preserved architecture make it one of the notable heritage sites in the Günzburg district.
