Schloss Appelhof is a small Rococo-style country palace located near Allersberg in Bavaria, Germany, close to the Rothsee lake. The estate was first mentioned in historical records in 1457, and the present château was built around 1760 by the industrialist Jacob Gilardi as a summer residence for his family. The elegant two-story building is known for its Rococo architecture, featuring a symmetrical design, a prominent central section, and landscaped surroundings. It is considered one of the notable historic landmarks associated with Allersberg’s prosperous 18th-century period. Since 1889, Schloss Appelhof has belonged to the Faber-Castell family, famous for its pencil manufacturing business. Although the property has been unoccupied in recent years, it remains an important protected monument and a distinctive example of Franconian Rococo architecture.
