Schloss Bächingen an der Brenz is a Renaissance-era moated castle located in the village of Bächingen an der Brenz in Bavaria, Germany. Built from 1531 by the noble von Westernach family on the site of an earlier residence, the castle is distinguished by its rectangular three-story structure and four round corner towers. Over the centuries, the castle served as the administrative seat of a small noble territory and later came into the ownership of several prominent families, including Franziska von Hohenheim, the wife of Duke Carl Eugen of Württemberg. The estate became known as a center of aristocratic life, culture, and learning. Today, the castle remains privately owned and is surrounded by a historic park, old trees, and the Brenz River.
