Schloss Bartenstein is a magnificent Baroque palace located in Bartenstein, a district of Schrozberg in Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

Its origins lie in a medieval castle first mentioned in the 13th century, which later became the seat of the Hohenlohe-Bartenstein branch of the House of Hohenlohe. After suffering destruction during the Peasants’ War and the Thirty Years’ War, the site was transformed in the early 18th century into an elegant three-wing Baroque residence.

Around the palace, a carefully planned Baroque town developed, making Bartenstein one of the most complete and best-preserved small Baroque residential towns in Germany. Today, Schloss Bartenstein remains in the ownership of the princely Hohenlohe-Bartenstein family. Together with its palace chapel, gardens, and surrounding historic townscape, it is regarded as one of the most impressive cultural and architectural landmarks in the Hohenlohe region.
