Schloss Brackenheim is a historic castle in the center of Brackenheim, Baden-Württemberg, with origins dating back to the High Middle Ages.

It was originally built by the Lords of Magenheim as part of the town’s development and later became property of the House of Württemberg in the 14th century. The castle was extensively rebuilt during the 16th century under Duke Christoph of Württemberg, giving it much of its present appearance.

It was intended to serve as a residence for widowed duchesses of Württemberg, although none of them actually lived there. After a major fire in the 17th century, parts of the complex were rebuilt and further refined. Over time, Schloss Brackenheim became an important administrative center for the region. Today, the three-winged castle is a cultural landmark that houses community facilities, including a theater, and stands as one of Brackenheim’s most significant historic buildings.
