Schloss Crailsheim Fröhstockheim is a historic castle located in the village of Fröhstockheim, part of the municipality of Rödelsee in Bavaria’s Franconian wine region. The estate has medieval origins, but the present castle was largely rebuilt by the noble von Crailsheim family after the original residence was destroyed during the German Peasants’ War in 1525. The castle is a striking four-wing complex arranged around an inner courtyard and was originally designed as a moated residence. Its most distinctive features are the round corner towers, elegant roofs, and historic architectural details that reflect both Renaissance and later Baroque influences. For centuries, the castle remained in the ownership of the von Crailsheim family and continues to be an important landmark in Fröhstockheim. Surrounded by the scenic vineyards and countryside of Lower Franconia, it represents the region’s long aristocratic and cultural history.
