Schloss Friedrichsburg is a prominent Renaissance castle in Vohenstrauß, Bavaria, and serves as the town’s most recognizable landmark.

It was built between 1586 and 1593 by Count Palatine Friedrich, who established the castle as his residence and gave it its name. The construction helped make Vohenstrauß an important administrative and economic center of the region. The castle is known for its impressive architecture, featuring a large three-story structure surrounded by five round towers with pointed roofs.

Over the centuries, it served various governmental functions, including as a court, administrative office, and district headquarters. Today, Schloss Friedrichsburg has been restored and functions as a cultural and community venue. It hosts exhibitions, concerts, theater performances, and other events, while also housing the local tourist information center.
