Schloss Hirschbrunn is a historic castle in the village of Hirschbrunn, part of Auhausen in Bavaria, Germany. Built between 1600 and 1607 as a hunting lodge for the Counts of Oettingen, it features a striking rectangular layout with corner towers and decorative gables. The castle was damaged during the Thirty Years’ War but was later restored and expanded. In 1692, a chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary was added, strengthening its role as both a residence and a place of worship. It remains an important architectural landmark in the Donau-Ries region, known for its well-preserved historic character and scenic rural setting.
