Schloss Höchstädt is a magnificent Renaissance palace in Höchstädt an der Donau, Bavaria, built between 1589 and 1603 for Count Palatine Philipp Ludwig of Pfalz-Neuburg. Designed as a residence for his wife, Anna of Jülich-Cleves-Berg, the three-story palace features four round corner towers, elegant courtyards, and more than 120 rooms. The castle is considered one of the finest examples of German Late Renaissance architecture. Over the centuries, it served various purposes, including as a court building and administrative center, before undergoing extensive restoration in the late 20th century. Today, Schloss Höchstädt is a cultural and museum center open to visitors. It houses the Museum of German Fayence, exhibitions about the famous Battle of Höchstädt of 1704, and hosts concerts, events, and educational programs, making it one of the most important historic landmarks in the region.
