Schloss Vorra is a historic castle in the village of Vorra in Bavaria, originally established after the Nuremberg patrician Karl Tetzel acquired property there and built a castle in the early 17th century. The original castle was destroyed by fire in 1780 but was subsequently rebuilt. In the late 19th century, a newer castle building was added within the estate grounds, creating the castle complex seen today. The property is surrounded by a large park and is situated near the Pegnitz River, making it a notable landmark in the Hersbruck region. Since the 1950s, the castle complex has been used as a school camp and educational center. Owned by the Free State of Bavaria, it remains an important historic and cultural site that combines architectural heritage with educational use.
