Schloss Jetzendorf

Jetzendorf, Germany, Germany

---

Schloss Jetzendorf is a historic manor castle in the center of Jetzendorf, Bavaria, with origins dating back to the 12th and 13th centuries.

The estate served as the seat of the local Hofmark and passed through several noble families over the centuries before becoming the property of the Freyberg-Eisenberg family in 1812, who still own and inhabit it today. The castle’s present appearance largely dates from the early 17th century, when it was expanded into a three-wing complex.

It is accompanied by historic outbuildings, including a former brewery, stables, and farm structures, reflecting its long role as both a noble residence and an agricultural estate. Today, Schloss Jetzendorf remains a prominent landmark of the upper Ilm Valley. In addition to its historical significance, it has gained modern recognition as a filming location, most notably for the German youth television series Fluch des Falken.
