Schloss Kugelhammer is a historic castle located near Wendelstein in Bavaria, Germany. It was built in the mid-14th century beside a former hammer mill and has been associated with several noble owners throughout its long history. The castle acquired much of its present appearance during major renovations in 1607 and 1608. In 1678, the estate came into the possession of Johann Karl Schüsselfelder, who later incorporated it into a family foundation that continues to manage the property today. The castle is known for its well-preserved architecture, including decorative interior plasterwork and historic details reflecting centuries of development. Today, Schloss Kugelhammer is recognized as an important cultural monument and received an award for outstanding heritage preservation in 2010. Although it is generally accessible only by prior arrangement, it remains a notable landmark in the Wendelstein area and a fine example of Franconian historic architecture.
