Schloss Laubach
Abtsgmünd, Germany, Germany
Schloss Laubach is a Renaissance castle located on the edge of the village of Laubach in the municipality of Abtsgmünd, Baden-Württemberg.
Its origins date back to 1439, when the noble von Woellwarth family established a residence there, making the castle an important center of local aristocratic life for centuries. The present castle largely dates from 1599, when Hans Sigmund von Woellwarth had a new four-wing Renaissance complex built, distinguished by its four towers with domed roofs.
Over the years, the property remained closely associated with the von Woellwarth family and later underwent renovations and restoration work. Today, Schloss Laubach is recognized as a cultural monument and one of the most notable historic landmarks in the Leintal region.
