Schloss Lehrberg is a historic castle in the market town of Lehrberg in Bavaria. It traces its origins to the local noble family of von Birkenfels, who ruled parts of the area during the late Middle Ages. The current castle was built in 1628–1629 after an earlier residence was demolished, creating the structure that largely survives today. The castle is characterized by its simple yet impressive Franconian architecture, including a rectangular main building and a distinctive stair tower. Over the centuries, it passed into the hands of the Margraves of Ansbach and served as an important local administrative and residential center. Today, Schloss Lehrberg remains a notable landmark in the center of the town and reflects the region’s noble heritage and long history. Although it is less well known than some of Bavaria’s larger palaces, it is an important part of Lehrberg’s historical identity.
