Schloss Leinzell
Leinzell, Germany, Germany
Schloss Leinzell, also known as the Langsches Schloss, is a historic castle in the village of Leinzell, Baden-Württemberg.
It was built around 1650 on the remains of an earlier fortified structure that had been destroyed during the Thirty Years’ War and served for centuries as the residence of the noble von Lang family. The castle remained in the ownership of the von Lang family for more than 300 years and is closely connected to the history and development of Leinzell.
Its architecture combines elements of a manor house and a small castle, making it one of the village’s most recognizable landmarks. Since 2004, the property has been owned by a private foundation that supports art and culture. The castle has undergone restoration work and is known for hosting exhibitions and promoting young artists, helping preserve both its historical significance and its role as a cultural venue.
