Schloss Mörlach
Hilpoltstein, Germany, Germany
Schloss Mörlach is an elegant Rococo palace located in Mörlach, a district of Hilpoltstein in Bavaria, Germany. The present building was constructed in 1775 by Christoph Adam Carl von Imhoff after his return from India, replacing an earlier noble residence on a site associated with local nobility since the 12th century. Designed in an English-inspired style, the palace is notable for its symmetrical layout, 112 windows, and decorative stucco work created by the Nuremberg master Johann Michael Krieger. The late Baroque complex is arranged around a square courtyard and is considered an important architectural monument in the region. Today, Schloss Mörlach remains a private property and is also used as a venue for weddings and special events. Its well-preserved architecture and historic character make it one of the most attractive historic estates in the Hilpoltstein area.
