Schloss Obertalfingen
Ulm, Germany, Germany
Schloss Obertalfingen is a former patrician manor house in the Obertalfingen district of Ulm, Baden‑Württemberg, Germany.
It was built in 1540 by the wealthy Ulm patrician family Besserer on the site of a medieval healing‑bath settlement, and the family later took the name “Besserer von Obertalfingen” from the estate. The building has been repeatedly altered and expanded over the centuries, including the addition of a stair tower before 1653 and later conversion into a Fideikommiss (a type of hereditary family trust) in 1716.
Located on Obertalfinger Weg, the complex retains its historic character amid the urban fabric of Ulm and is now a privately owned residential and possibly commercial property rather than a public tourist attraction.
