Schloss Oettingen, also known as the Residenzschloss Oettingen, is a magnificent Baroque palace in Oettingen in Bayern, Bavaria, and serves as the historic seat of the princely House of Oettingen-Spielberg. Built between 1679 and 1687, it stands on the site of an earlier medieval mint and reflects the political and cultural importance of the Oettingen family in the region. The palace is known for its elegant courtyards, richly decorated state rooms, impressive stucco work, and grand festival hall. A notable feature is the Marian Fountain in the courtyard, while many of the interior rooms preserve their original Baroque character. Today, Schloss Oettingen remains privately owned by the Oettingen-Spielberg family and is one of the most important Baroque residences in northern Bavaria. Parts of the palace can be visited on guided tours, and it continues to host cultural events and concerts, keeping its historic legacy alive.
