Schloss Osterzell
Osterzell, Germany, Germany
Schloss Osterzell is a historic castle building in the village of Osterzell in Bavaria, Germany.
Originally associated with the Augustinian Canons of Rottenbuch, the complex was expanded around 1720 and served as an administrative and residential estate. Over the 19th century, large parts of the original castle complex, including several wings and outbuildings, were demolished.
Today, only the central section of the former palace remains, a three-story building with a hipped roof that preserves the site's historical character. The surviving structure is now used as the parish rectory (Pfarrhof) and remains one of Osterzell’s most notable historic landmarks, reflecting the village’s religious and architectural heritage.
