Schloss Otting is a historic baroque castle located in the village of Otting in Bavaria’s Donau-Ries region. Built around 1610 on the site of an older castle, it changed hands among several noble families over the centuries before coming into more stable ownership in the early 19th century. The castle complex features a main building with a distinctive corner tower and is accompanied by the baroque castle chapel Mater Dolorosa, which was once an important pilgrimage site. Both the castle and chapel reflect the area's noble and religious heritage. Today, Schloss Otting is used as a hotel, event venue, and wedding location, allowing visitors to experience its historic atmosphere while enjoying the peaceful countryside setting.
