Schloss Plaue is a historic Baroque palace located on the banks of the Havel River in the Plaue district of Brandenburg an der Havel.

Built between 1711 and 1716 on the foundations of an older medieval castle, the palace occupies a strategically important site that had been used for fortifications and river crossings since the Middle Ages. Over the centuries, Schloss Plaue was owned by several noble families and underwent major expansions and redesigns, including a Neo-Baroque renovation in the 19th century.

The palace was badly damaged during and after World War II and lost much of its historic interior, while later alterations further changed the building. Today, Schloss Plaue remains one of the most impressive historic residences in the region. Surrounded by a landscaped park and overlooking the river, it is valued for its architectural heritage, its connection to Brandenburg’s aristocratic history, and its picturesque waterfront setting.
