Schloss Roseck
Tübingen, Germany, Germany
Schloss Roseck is a historic castle complex perched in the Schönbuch forest above the Ammertal valley near Unterjesingen in Tübingen, Germany, with origins as a 12th-century fortress likely built by the Pfalzgrafen von Tübingen during the Staufer era and first mentioned in 1287.
Rebuilt multiple times through the 16th century and later adapted stylistically, it passed through noble families like the Herren von Ow before being gifted to Franciscan nuns in 1947, who added a convalescent home and used it for various community purposes until a 1991 fire and subsequent private ownerships.
Recently acquired by the COPRO Group in 2022 with ongoing renovation plans as of 2025, the site offers stunning panoramic views and includes a 1924 Marienkapelle, though interior access remains limited.
