Schloss Siegelsbach
Siegelsbach, Germany, Germany
Schloss Siegelsbach is a historic castle in Siegelsbach, Baden-Württemberg, that developed from the earlier Hirschhorner Hof, the administrative seat of the Lords of Hirschhorn.
In the early 18th century, the Counts of Wiser expanded the estate into a stately castle complex with landscaped grounds and a park, making it an important noble residence in the region. The castle is closely linked to the history of the Wiser family, whose rule left a lasting impact on the village.
During their ownership, the estate became a local center of administration and aristocratic life, although religious tensions arose because the Catholic rulers governed a largely Protestant community. After changing owners several times in the 19th century, the castle was divided, and the main building came into the possession of the local Protestant parish.
