Schloss Tegel, also known as Humboldt Palace, is a historic country house in the Tegel district of Berlin.

Originally built as a Renaissance manor in 1558, it became the home of the influential Humboldt family and is closely associated with the renowned brothers Wilhelm and Alexander von Humboldt, who spent much of their childhood there. The building was redesigned in a neoclassical style between 1820 and 1824 by the famous architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel at the request of Wilhelm von Humboldt.

The estate is surrounded by a historic park that stretches toward Lake Tegel and includes the Humboldt family burial site. Today, Schloss Tegel remains in the hands of the Humboldt descendants and houses a private Humboldt Museum. It is valued as an important cultural and architectural landmark that reflects the life, achievements, and legacy of one of Germany’s most influential families.
