Schloss Tüßling
Tüßling, Germany, Germany
Schloss Tüßling is a well-preserved Renaissance castle in the town of Tüßling, Bavaria, Germany.
Built between 1581 and 1583 by Johann Veit von Törring on the site of an older fortress, it served as the residence and administrative center of the local lordship for centuries. The castle is known for its symmetrical four-wing design, arcaded inner courtyard, corner towers topped with onion domes, and surrounding moat, making it one of the finest examples of Renaissance castle architecture in Bavaria.
Despite a fire in 1712 and later Baroque additions, much of its original character has been preserved. Today, Schloss Tüßling remains privately owned and is associated with cultural events, concerts, garden festivals, and Christmas markets. Its impressive architecture and long history make it one of the region’s most notable historic landmarks.
