Schloss Waldenburg
Waldenburg, Germany, Germany
Schloss Waldenburg is a historic castle overlooking the town of Waldenburg in Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
First documented in the 13th century, it became an important residence of the noble House of Hohenlohe and was gradually transformed from a medieval fortress into a Renaissance-style palace. The castle and much of the surrounding town were heavily damaged during World War II in 1945.
Reconstruction took place over the following decades, restoring the exterior and preserving its role as one of the region’s most recognizable landmarks. Today, Schloss Waldenburg stands on a hill with impressive views over the Hohenlohe countryside. It remains associated with the Hohenlohe family and serves as a cultural and historical attraction, showcasing centuries of regional history, architecture, and noble heritage.
