Schloss Werdenberg
Trochtelfingen, Germany, Germany
Schloss Werdenberg in Trochtelfingen, Germany, is a well-preserved Renaissance castle built in the mid-15th century by the Counts of Werdenberg as their residence, featuring a distinctive high tower with six stories and a spired roof encircled by triple defensive walls.
After the Werdenberg line died out in 1534, it passed to the Fürstenberg family through marriage, serving as a noble seat, administrative center, and Obervogt residence until sold to the town in 1869 for use as a school that still operates today.
Thoroughly renovated from 2011 to 2012, the landmark stands prominently in the Reutlingen district, blending historic grandeur with modern community function amid the Swabian landscape.
