Schloss Windelsbach is a historic castle complex in the Bavarian village of Windelsbach, near Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The site was originally associated with a medieval fortification and later came under the ownership of the Margraves of Ansbach, who acquired it in 1536 and expanded the estate with new buildings. The castle was once a large four-wing complex surrounded by defensive earthworks and moats. Over time, parts of the structure were lost, and today only the eastern and southern wings remain, providing a glimpse of its former size and importance. Now privately owned, Schloss Windelsbach remains an important historical landmark in the region. Its surviving buildings reflect the area's noble and administrative history and contribute to the traditional character of the village.
