Schlossfelsen
Germany, Germany
Schlossfelsen is a rocky mountain located near Albstadt in the Zollernalbkreis district of Baden‑Württemberg, Germany, standing about 958 meters above sea level and roughly 250 meters above the town itself.
The peak is part of the Swabian Jura and forms a prominent cliff face along the Albtrauf, the steep escarpment that marks the edge of the high plateau. Near the summit there is a 24‑meter‑high observation tower called the Schlossfelsenturm, which offers panoramic views over Albstadt‑Ebingen, the surrounding valley, and on clear days even into the Swiss Alps.
The area is a popular stop for hikers using the Schlossfelsenpfad and nearby Traufgang trails, combining an easy climb with a striking vantage point over the rolling landscape of southern Germany.
