Schlosspark Bonfeld
Bad Rappenau, Germany, Germany
Schlosspark Bonfeld is a historic park in the Bonfeld district of Bad Rappenau, Baden-Württemberg. The park occupies the former grounds of the Unterschloss Bonfeld, an 18th-century palace built by the Barons of Gemmingen. After the palace was destroyed by fire in 1956 and later demolished, the area was transformed into a public green space. Today, the park features mature trees, open lawns, and surviving historic estate buildings that reflect Bonfeld’s noble heritage. It is closely connected to the neighboring Oberschloss Bonfeld, a Baroque castle built in 1748 on the site of an earlier medieval fortress. Schlosspark Bonfeld is now a popular recreational and cultural area, valued for its peaceful atmosphere and historical setting. It has also hosted public events and festivals, making it an important landmark and gathering place in the Bad Rappenau region.
