Schlosspark Dennenlohe is one of Bavaria’s most impressive garden estates, located in the village of Dennenlohe, part of Unterschwaningen. It surrounds the 18th-century Schloss Dennenlohe, which was built on the site of an earlier moated castle and later developed into a baroque residence with extensive landscaped grounds. The park is especially famous for its vast botanical collections, including one of southern Germany’s largest rhododendron parks. Since the 1990s, the grounds have been greatly expanded and redesigned, creating a 26-hectare landscape of themed gardens, lakes, woodland areas, and ornamental plant displays.
