Schulmuseum Reckahn is a unique education museum in the village of Reckahn, part of Kloster Lehnin in Brandenburg, Germany. It is housed in a historic school building constructed in 1773 by the educational reformer Friedrich Eberhard von Rochow and is considered the first two-class village school in Prussia. The school became a model for modern public education and helped promote more humane and accessible teaching methods. The museum tells the story of educational reform and rural schooling from the 18th century onward. Its centerpiece is a faithfully reconstructed classroom from around 1915, complete with original-style desks, teaching materials, and historical exhibits that allow visitors to experience what school life was once like.
