Sheffield Park
UK, United Kingdom
Sheffield Park is a Grade‑I‑listed landscape garden and parkland near Uckfield in East Sussex, England, owned and managed by the National Trust.
It sits on gently sloping ground around a chain of four lakes formed in the 18th century under the guidance of the famous landscape designer Capability Brown, later developed into a rich woodland and rhododendron–azalea garden.
The site is known for spectacular seasonal displays, especially vivid autumn colours reflected in the lakes and a riot of azaleas, rhododendrons, and water lilies in spring and early summer.
The garden is surrounded by more than 250 acres of historic parkland and woodland dropping down to the River Ouse, offering walking trails, play areas, and wildlife watching, and it is often combined with a visit to the nearby Bluebell Railway steam train.
