Sipi Falls

Sipi Falls is a stunning series of three waterfalls located in the Kapchorwa District of Eastern Uganda, near the slopes of Mount Elgon National Park and close to the Kenyan border.
The tallest of the three falls plunges approximately 100 meters, with the others dropping 85 and 65 meters respectively. The falls are set amidst lush green hills and tea plantations, creating a picturesque landscape popular for hiking, abseiling, and bird watching.
Sipi Falls is approximately 277 kilometers from Kampala, Uganda's capital, and is a favored destination for nature lovers due to its cool climate, scenic beauty, and opportunities for outdoor adventure. The name "Sipi" derives from a local wild banana-like plant growing along the riverbanks, traditionally used for medicinal purposes by the local communities.
