It began in 1954 as Storytown USA, a small nursery‑rhyme‑themed park for young children, then evolved into The Great Escape in the 1980s before being acquired by Six Flags in 1996.
Today it offers more than 100 rides and attractions, including classic wooden coasters such as The Comet, new thrill coasters like The Bobcat, and a mix of family‑friendly flat rides and children’s areas.
