Snowbird
Utah, United States
Snowbird is an alpine ski and mountain resort community in Little Cottonwood Canyon, Utah, about 45 minutes from Salt Lake City, built around the large Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort in the Wasatch Range.
It is best known for receiving some of the heaviest, driest powder snowfall in North America, with around 500 inches a year and roughly 2,500 acres of terrain spread over about 3,000 vertical feet. The resort operates year‑round, offering world‑class downhill skiing and snowboarding in winter and activities such as hiking, mountain biking, scenic tram rides, festivals, and spa services in summer.
On‑mountain lodging includes several hotels and condos, multiple restaurants, heated outdoor pools, hot tubs, and a full‑service spa, all set in a walkable, car‑free village atmosphere at the base of the slopes.
