Tannenburg is a well-preserved medieval castle located above the Bühler Valley near Bühlertann in Baden-Württemberg.

Built in the 11th or 12th century, it originally served as a fortified border stronghold associated with Ellwangen Abbey and later became the seat of the von Tannenburg family. The castle was expanded during the Middle Ages, rebuilt after destruction in the late 14th century, and has remained remarkably intact.

It is considered one of the best-preserved shield-wall castles in Württemberg, featuring impressive defensive walls, a large courtyard, and a historic residential hall. Today, Tannenburg is privately owned and operates as a school farm, educational center, and organic farm. Visitors are drawn by its authentic medieval atmosphere, cultural events, and scenic location overlooking the surrounding countryside.
