Teck Castle (Burg Teck) is a historic hilltop castle located above the town of Owen in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, on the edge of the Swabian Alb.

The original castle was built around the late 11th or early 12th century and became the seat of the Dukes of Teck, a noble family descended from the Zähringen dynasty. The castle played an important role in regional politics during the Middle Ages but was completely destroyed during the German Peasants’ War in 1525.

Although the medieval fortress was never rebuilt, modern structures, including an observation tower, a restaurant, and a hikers’ lodge, were later constructed on the historic site. Today, Teck Castle is a popular destination for hikers and tourists, offering spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, the Swabian Alb, and the valleys below. Its combination of historical significance, scenic landscapes, and visitor facilities makes it one of the best-known landmarks in the region.
