Tettnang New Palace
Tettnang, Germany, Germany
Tettnang New Palace, also known as Neues Schloss Tettnang, is a Baroque‑style palace in the town of Tettnang in Baden‑Württemberg, southern Germany, near the Upper Lake Constance area.
It sits on the site of an older fortress that served as the residence of the Counts of Montfort from the 13th century until the late 18th century, and was rebuilt in the early 1700s into a grander, more luxurious palace under Count Anton III of Montfort.
The building is now one of the most beautiful and best‑preserved Baroque palaces in Upper Swabia, with lavish stucco work, ornate rooms such as the famed Bacchus Hall, and a museum that can be visited on guided tours during the warmer months.
The palace is state‑owned and managed by Staatliche Schlösser und Gärten Baden‑Württemberg, making it a key cultural stop for visitors exploring the Lake Constance region.
