The Teublitzer Schlossruine, also known as the “Old Castle,” is a medieval castle ruin located in the city park of Teublitz in Bavaria’s Upper Palatinate region.

Dating from the 13th or 14th century, it once served as the seat of local nobles and an important administrative center for the surrounding area. The castle was destroyed during the Thirty Years’ War and was never rebuilt. Instead, a new Baroque palace, Schloss Teublitz, was constructed nearby in the 18th century, while the remains of the original castle became part of the park landscape.

Today, the ruin is a popular historical attraction and a visible reminder of Teublitz’s medieval past. Conservation and restoration work have stabilized the structure, allowing visitors to safely explore the surviving walls and enjoy its picturesque setting within the city park.
