The Garden House is a 10‑acre garden set in a quiet valley on the edge of Dartmoor National Park near Yelverton in Devon, England.

It began in the mid‑1940s when Lionel Fortescue transformed a small two‑acre walled garden attached to an old vicars’ house into a series of linked, themed areas including terraced gardens, a cottage garden, an arboretum, and naturalistic planting zones.

The site also includes historic features such as medieval and 17th‑century ruins, a tower, and a barn, and it is now managed by the Fortescue Garden Trust as a plantsman’s paradise with thousands of plant varieties. Visitors can walk the gardens, enjoy a café and plant sales, and see the property open to the public for much of the year, especially spring and summer.
