Tioman Island, located off the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia in Rompin District, Pahang, is a tropical sanctuary that feels like a secret whispered among seasoned travelers. Once named one of the world’s most beautiful islands by TIME magazine in 1970, Tioman continues to enchant with its emerald jungles, coral-fringed shores, and laid-back charm.

The island spans just 136 square kilometers, yet it packs a staggering diversity of experiences, from scuba diving among vibrant reefs to hiking through rainforests that echo with the calls of exotic birds and monkeys.

The island’s seven villages, including the bustling Kampung Tekek and the serene Juara, offer a mix of rustic authenticity and modern comforts. Kampung Tekek, the largest settlement, serves as the island’s commercial hub, complete with duty-free shopping and beachfront resorts.
