The Trujillo Botanical Garden is a botanical garden located on America Sur Avenue in the La Merced neighborhood of Trujillo, Peru, about 1 mile south of the city's main square. The 6.5-acre garden contains approximately 250 catalogued plant species along with 150 additional unidentified plants, including endangered species such as the ancestral pallar mochero, totorales, and pardo cotton, plus an ethnobotanical collection featuring medicinal, ornamental, and crop plants native to the Americas from Peru's three natural regions—Coast, Sierra, and Selva. Beyond its plant collections, the garden houses various animals including peacocks, turtles, parrots, rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks, and geese organized in domes, and has become a favorite spot for lovers, university students, nature enthusiasts, yoga practitioners, and artists seeking tranquility and inspiration.
