Tyszowce is a small town in southeastern Poland's Lublin Voivodeship, in Tomaszów Lubelski County, situated between the arms of the Huczwa River near the Ukrainian border, with a population of around 2,000.

Emerging after the mid-13th-century Mongol destruction of the nearby fortified settlement of Czerwień (Cherven), it received Magdeburg city rights in 1419 from Duke Siemowit IV of Bełz, confirmed in 1453, becoming a trade and craft center—especially for shoemaking—with a wooden starosta's castle first noted in 1564 and earth fortifications destroyed in 17th-century wars.

Famous for the 1655 Tyszowce Confederation against Swedish invaders during the Deluge, it later declined under Austrian partition from 1772, suffering Tatar raids, fires, and population losses, yet retained a significant Jewish shtetl in the Ostrów district until the Holocaust, today preserving its historical market square, parish church, and rural character.
